Go where your muse takes you....

Hello Everyone,

I made a journal page today!!

Here, you can see my background. I love the time I spent on this and how it turned out. I started with adhering old book papers on my journal page. Next layer is coat of Gesso. After that I attached strips of design papers ,at two ends of my pages, they are from 7 dots studio Destination Unknown collection, which are in marvelous shades of blue and grey. Further I created texture with Prima bubble stencil and texture paste and  also at some places with Prima Platinum Crackle paste. To bring color on my surface I used various Lindy's stamp gang spray inks in blues and grey. In between all layers, I heat set them, so the colors don't mix. I also used my favourite double scoop Gelatos colors in Snow cone, Blue Berry, Silver Ice. PIIT pens to highlight circles and strips.I've done some texture stamping with archival ink.

I've this beautiful image as a center piece for my journal page. It is a Venezia Rubber Dance Art Stamp
I stamped it with Black Archival ink and colored it with Gelatos.

'Go where your muse takes you' its a perfect sentiment for this journal page. Rubber Dance is our generous sponsor at Unruly PaperArts for February and March. And Bibi has sent me these beauties to work with.

Choose Beauty - Mixed Media Canvas

Hello Everyone,

I am joining in Make a Art Challenge. It is all about Wendy Vecchi and embossing paste.

I've used stamping in embossing paste technique here. First I created heart shape with stencil and Wendy Vecchi embossing paste. Kept the stencil as it is and spritzed distress stains broken china, wild honey and peeled paint0, it gave vibrant colors. Further I stamped text with Artistic stamper calligraphy stamp directly into embossing paste, created beautiful texture on the heart.
Red flower steam is a chipboard design colored with fired brick and peeled paint distress paint.

Small heart is also created with embossing paste. I created layers with texture stamping in the background. Bird is a die cut from Memory box die.

Altered box with DCWV

Hello Everyone,

Another fun project with DCWV!!

I have altered 6*6" inches plastic box which is just more than 1" in height. This is a gift made for my daughter whose birthday coming up this weekend. She is super excited to be entering in teenage and hope this box will hold up her sweet memories!

This paper stack has some beautiful pastel color papers and soft floral designs. They can be used for baby books to mixed media, very versatile designs. I got light purple DCWV adhesive jewel sheets in my DT package, they are fun and very easy to use, just cut and stick.

Plaid has sponsored DCWV DTs this time, we have got amazing products from them. One of them is Modge Podge Dimentional Magic.
You can see on my project I made small custom jewelry pendant. I made that with Modge Podge Blister Placement, DCWV floral paper and Dimensional magic. You can watch video to know more about this here

To begin with, I applied Folkart multi surface paint on my box. Attached DCWV paper onto it. I wanted to play with mixed media, so I applied clear gesso.

I created layers and texture with stencils, paints and texture paste.

Next, I built layers with paper pieces from DCWV The delightful paper collection. Cute green bird is also I fussy cut from same paper stack.

'Choose Joy' is the perfect sentiment for this box,  cut out from stack.

I stamped text on the base to create more interest. I also adhered tiny buttons.

Beautiful chocolate brown May Arts ribbon added charm to tags. At the edges I attached light purple Jeweled adhesive.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Mixed Media Canvas with PaperArtsy stamps

Hello Everyone,

I am back today with a mixed media canvas. I've used my newly acquired PaperArtsy Lynne Perrella stamps.

Lots of layers and texture went on this, and I thoroughly enjoyed creating this. I've chosen pink, red, amber and gold colors.

Base layers are created with gauze, white crackle paste, golden crackle paste, printed canvas strips, diecuts from Tim holtz honeycomb framework die.

Color layers are created with Distress paints- Tattered rose, Victorian velvet, barn door, tarnished brass, vintage photo, walnut stain. I used honeycomb stamp and text stamp in the background.

I totally loved Paper Artsy Lynne Perrella stamp set . I stamped it with black archival ink onto the colored paper. Outside frame is a lasercut chipboard, which I colored with same distress paints color as background, more hint of tarnished brass. Attached some golden stones on it. Embellishments are from Prima.

That's it for today, let me know how do you find it. Thanks so much for stopping by.
